The International Trade Centre (ITC) – a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization – in partnership with India International Textile Machinery Exhibitions (ITME) Society hosted TextilesExchange 2021 on April 23-24, 2021.

Indo Count Industries Ltd (ICIL), one of India’s largest home textile manufacturers, has recorded 600% increase in PAT in Q4 FY21 to Rs 580 million from Rs 80 million in Q4 FY20. PAT was up 241% in 2020-21 to Rs 2490 million from Rs 730 million in 2019-20.

In the recent years, India has emerged as one of the major players in the global home textiles market. Factors like traditional craftsmanship, local availability of raw materials, investments by companies in high-tech textile machinery, etc have helped India to become a preferred sourcing destination for home textiles.

Freudenberg Performance Materials has completed the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification process for its shoe components manufactured in Asia. All Freudenberg Far Eastern Spunweb sites were certified by Control Union Certifications.
