DOMOTEX Asia, one of the most important international trade fairs for flooring in Asia, took place at Shanghai from 24-26 March 2015. The Allma Volkmann trade fair team was delighted to welcome visitors to its stand H10 in hall W1. Competent specialists informed customers and interested persons about the latest novelties in two-for-one twisting and cabling technology for the manufacturing of high-quality carpet yarns and yarns for artificial turf. What are the most important requirements to be met by a twisting and cabling machine today? The machine must be energy-saving, provide maximum quality and economic efficiency as well as ease of operation. Allma Volkmann twisting and cabling machines perfectly fulfill these demands.

CarpetTwister / CarpetCabler with E³
Volkmann convinces with the new product generation of the CarpetTwister and CarpetCabler. The energy-saving spindle family and maximum quality with optimum economic efficiency are the outstanding features. Spindle and pot package variants together with drive and bearings technology allow extremely high energy savings up to 40 per cent. Delivery speeds of up to 120 m/min for uptwisting can increase production by up to 30 per cent. Thanks to creels with pneumatic support, threading systems, new pneumatic centrally adjust-able creel yarn brakes and ball thread brakes, operating times can be reduced by up to 10 per cent. A new feature is the computer-controlled drive system, which allows for a quick and effective adjustment to new yarn lots and new production parameters thus increasing machine availability and operating friendliness.

TechnoCorder TC2 with E³
Twisting is indispensable in the production of artificial turf and enables the further processing of the yarn through the tufting machine. The TechnoCorder TC2 fulfills all requirements. The high productivity due to a delivery speed of up to 450 m/min and the compact twist packages with high package density and minimum length differences make the Allma TechnoCorder TC2 the ideal machine for twisting artificial turf. The ma-chine concept offers you ultimate flexibility in production for the entire range of materials and yarn counts. Autarkic spindles enable individual settings and independent operation of each spindle. The optimised bal-loon geometry and energy optimised drives reduce the energy consumption by up to 10 per cent. Unrestricted ac-cess to the twisting position ensures simple handling of the machine.

Volkmann presents new machine at JEC
JEC is the worldwide largest trade fair for Composites and the JEC Conferences are the most important conferences of the year. Composites professionals from all over the world met in Paris from 10-12 March 2015. Volkmann presented its latest products and services in the glass fibre production range. At the joint SAURER stand P84 in hall 7.2 visitors were informed about all features of the new Volkmann GlassTwister VGT-P.

Volkmann´s new multiply ring twisting machine
The newly developed multiply ring twisting machine VGT-P with integrated ply unit is most suited for the production of balanced multiply glass yarns. The gentle handling of glass filaments thanks to modern technology is one of its outstanding features. It is possible to twist two to four single yarns in the fully integrated ply stage. The yarn delivery dev
