New yarn, 15 times stronger than steel wire!

Leading South Korean technical textiles company, Dongyang MirAcle, has developed one of the strongest synthetic fibres, called the ?UHMWPE? yarn. Developed through gel spinning technology, the UHMWPE yarn is said to be 15 times stronger than a steel wire, and has excellent UV and chemical resistance properties. It can be used in extremely harsh conditions as it is resistant to abrasion, which widens its scope of usage. The yarn can be used in manufacturing of military supplies like bulletproof jacket, bulletproof helmet, leisure and sports goods, industrial safety gloves, industrial fabric, non-woven fabric, and similar products.

Apart from the UHMWPE yarn, the technical textile company also supplies melt spun HDPE yarn. Dongyang MirAcle claims to supply HDPE yarns in all range of tensile strength and had established a research centre as well in 2007 to develop high tenacity fibre, new material fibre, and automation facilities. Besides, the manufacturer is planning to strengthen its foothold in the global market. ?We will secure unrivalled competitiveness through excellent quality control system and management innovation like we have accomplished so far. We are continuously developing yarn products with various deniers and excellent quality, and cooperating with customers to pioneer new application areas,? informed an official of the company.
