The US company Milliken has been recognised by Future Materials as the ?Most Innovative Large Size Company.? Given by Future Materials, an international technical textiles magazine published by the World Textile Information Network (WTiN), the Future Materials Awards recognise innovation, achievement and leadership throughout the technical textile industry, which has grown exponentially over recent decades.
Milliken, a global innovation company, has been exploring, discovering and creating ways to enhance people?s lives since 1865. While Milliken comes from humble beginnings as a general store in Maine, it has expanded into a host of diverse industries over the last 150 years, focusing on R&D of innovations that ?do good.?
Today, Milliken manufactures custom-engineered, award-winning textiles for a variety of industrial markets including workwear, automotive, building and infrastructure, reinforcements and filtration products. Innovations include flame resistant (FR) fabrics that help save lives of industrial workers and military personnel, technologies that reduce the weight of automobiles to help reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and floor covering constructed with 100 per cent recycled fibres that are both durable and beautiful.
