Makalot is combining its extensive apparel expertise with emerging technologies by partnering with specialised startup Meta Intelligence through its digital arm, Portal:M, to introduce StyTrix, the sector’s first comprehensive, real-time AI platform.

Ahead of CES 2026, Makalot Industrial Co, a prominent garment manufacturer and innovation-driven company, announced a significant advancement in its ongoing digital transformation strategy. Reinforcing its position as a technology-focused industry leader, Makalot is combining its extensive apparel expertise with emerging technologies by partnering with specialised startup Meta Intelligence through its digital arm, Portal:M, to introduce StyTrix, the sector’s first comprehensive, real-time AI platform. This enterprise-level AI solution aims to redefine the fashion development lifecycle and represents a key milestone in Makalot’s journey toward technology-led innovation grounded in manufacturing excellence. The companies will collaborate with Taiwan Tech Arena to present StyTrix at CES 2026, scheduled from January 6–9, 2026.

CES 2026 Reveal: Makalot’s StyTrix, Where Decades of Garment Expertise Converge with Real-Time AI Innovation

“Makalot is harnessing more than thirty years of garment design and manufacturing experience to develop StyTrix — a proprietary AI design engine created by designers, for designers,” said Vanessa Chou, Director of Strategic Planning at Makalot. “From design teams to global brands and e-commerce platforms, StyTrix opens up transformative opportunities for the fashion industry by speeding up development and marketing cycles, lowering operational costs, and enhancing sustainability, while supporting the immersive digital experiences increasingly demanded by younger consumers.”

Makalot’s commitment to addressing industry challenges

The global fashion industry is currently grappling with major development inefficiencies. Conventional workflows remain slow and environmentally taxing, with limited design visualisation, expensive and time-consuming physical sampling, and a development process where nearly 80 per cent of effort is lost before manufacturing even commences.

Understanding that its decades of manufacturing knowledge and deep industry insight must be integrated with advanced digital tools, Makalot continues to actively pursue and invest in new technologies. Through Portal:M, its digital subsidiary, the company is building strategic collaborations with agile, specialised startups such as Meta Intelligence. This partnership reflects Makalot’s commitment to converting real-world manufacturing intelligence — including complex garment engineering, fabric dynamics, pattern development expertise, and supply chain processes — into a powerful AI-driven solution. As a result, StyTrix is engineered for production accuracy, delivering an exceptional grasp of garment structure, seams, and proportions to directly combat industry inefficiencies.

StyTrix: Reducing waste while accelerating productivity

StyTrix is set to transform the fashion sector by addressing its most pressing challenges:

Efficiency: The platform significantly shortens development timelines, with projections indicating up to 80 per cent productivity gains and as much as 90 per cent cost reductions.
Waste: To counter the estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste generated worldwide each year (UN Environment Programme), StyTrix reduces reliance on physical garment samples by up to 70 per cent.
