SGS India opens textile testing lab in Kolkata

Kolkata, West Bengal

 

SGS
India – one of the global leaders in inspection, verification, testing and
certification – has opened a state-of-the-art Softlines testing laboratory in
Kolkata for textile industry. Equipped with the latest technology, the new laboratory
offers a wide range of quality tests for fabrics, knitted fabrics, garments,
jute bags, HDPE bags and PP Bags.

The textile
testing laboratory boasts of the NABL and BIS accreditation and is in line with
SGS India’s commitment to quality and excellence. It gives textile and jute
manufacturers in the eastern part of India easy access to world-class testing
facilities.

The new
textile testing laboratory reinforces the SGS Softlines laboratory network’s
support to the textile and jute industry. The lab’s services include various physical,
chemical and performance tests as per the IS standards for the Indian market and
ISO standards for the international market.

SGS India
has a global network of testing facilities and provides services at every stage
of the value chain for the textile and footwear industry.
