India’s biggest intimate wear sourcing show, Galleria Intima 2015, moves to Delhi from 26-27 August 2015. The show will witness participation from over 80 exhibitors and 1,500 visitors. An initiative of the IAAI, Galleria Intima 4.0 is held on a much larger and grander scale so that the voice of every stakeholder in the industry gets heard. The city with its well-connected roads, rail and air will once again set about the transformation of this All-India annual fair into a successful global event.

While the event will see participation from all product categories, the majority of the focus of this year’s event will be on OEMs, private label manufacturers and packaging companies. Through this annual gathering, IAAI hopes to realise the potential of these categories of the intimate apparel sector and bring about greater collaboration, utilisation of resources and global recognition between these industry stakeholders and the topmost partners in the manufacture-supply chain, the brands and buyers.

An initiative of India’s apex body, the show had a humble beginning with only about 32 exhibitors in 2012 and expanded to attract over 60 exhibitors that included countries like China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Italy, France, USA and Turkey, to name a few at the last edition. Besides a strong showing by exhibitors, the third edition also witnessed a visitor footfall of about 855 that included about 500 brands from India alone besides first-time and regular trade visitors and buyers. This year too, Galleria Intima is expecting to see a return of majority of its participants as well as newer members for another year of networking and enrichment.

Additionally, as India opens up its manufacturing sector under the aegis of Narendra Modi and his ‘Make In India’ policy, over the years Galleria Intima sees itself as taking on a more decisive role in being the impetus that makes the manufacturing dream in the intimate wear market a reality. The increased international participation at the third edition is a pointer to the growing interest of the big global players in the Indian intimate apparel sector. The 3rd edition not only saw important business development, but many first-time trade visitors who were impressed by the quality of exhibitors as well as the tremendous networking and learning opportunities the event presented. Galleria Intima prides itself on being the only platform in India that sees diversity in attendance in terms of trade visitors, exhibitors and buyers. In the past, visitors to this prestigious fair included intimate apparel brands, manufacturers, buying houses, import/export houses, fashion designers, fashion institutes and myriad other stakeholders of the industry. And, the exhibitors who have graced the event range from manufacturer and supplier of fibre to packaging.

Besides bringing together the brands, manufacturing and supplier community and representatives as well as key decision-makers from across all segments of the industry, the platform offers every participant concerned an avenue to experience enhanced and superior business prospect while exchanging ideas and know-how including updates on technology and analysis of global trends and data. In fact the two-day show will also include educational workshops and seminars as well as white paper presentations by seasoned industry insiders and professional from India and abroad.

These educational initiatives are part of the body’s plan to help exhibitors, visitors and buyers to make the most of their time at the event. The presence of industry experts is a highlight of the event and enables a better forecast of the global as well as local trade market. They provide a comprehensive insight on not only the latest trends in the Indian market but all over the world as well as their changing consumer mindset. With such interactions and learning opportunities Galleria Intima also places emphasis on knowledge sharing<
