Flipkart has recently announced its
partnership with Urbanic which is a London-based Gen Z fashion brand. This
collaboration will bring a wide range of fashion choices to young
consumers.

It is expected that a stylish collection of
around 1,000 unique styles will be made available to a growing customer base
from metro cities to tier 2 and 3 regions. This partnership is going to help
Urbanic to democratise fashion because now it will be able to reach out to a
wider audience in smaller towns and cities as well. Since Flipkart wants to expand
its fashion portfolio, so this partnership will align with this objective too.
Consumers will now get a chance to pick from a wide variety of styles across
categories, loungewear, and including apparel. The Urbanic collection starts
from Rs 299 and includes jeans, tops, lingerie, swimwear, and winter wear.

According to Nishit Garg, Vice President, Flipkart Fashion, Fashion plays an important role
in on-boarding new consumers during the festive season for Flipkart. He also
said that this launch is going to help the company grow its Gen Z customer
base. He also said that the company is continuously working towards playing a
role in equalising fashion trends and bridging the gap between customers in
metros and Tier 2+ regions.

According to Rahul Dayama, Head of
Marketing, Urbanic, India, this is a great opportunity to collaborate with
Flipkart and bring Urbanic’s chic collection into the world of shopping. James
Wellwood, Partner at Urbanic, London, feels that individuals should have equal
access to fashionable and trendy outfits which will be provided by Urbanic at
an affordable range.
