KCT-TIFAC CORE student bags award

B Mothilal, PG Scholar, Apparel Technology, Department of Fashion Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology presented a paper and received Best Project and Best Paper award for his project on ´Design and Development of Non-Woven Medical Apparel from Wrightia Tinctoria Fiber´ carried out under the guidance of Dr G Ramakrishnan, Senior Associate Professor, Department of Fashion Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore. Mothilal carried out the project at KCT-TIFAC Center of Excellence funded by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India under which state-of-the-art machinery and equipment have been installed. The centre is well utilised by textile industries for product development and testing and organises seminars and conferences, which are need based for the benefit of academics and industries. B Mothilal has presented papers in more than 10 national and international conferences, which included conferences in NIT, Jalandhar, IIT, New Delhi, and IISc, Bangalore and published papers in leading textile Journals, which included a paper recently published in COLOURAGE journal on the topic ´Design and Development of Non-Woven Medical Apparel from Wrightia Tinctoria Fiber´.
