KCT organises 2-day workshop

KCT-TIFAC CORE in Textile Technology & Machinery of Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore Jointly with Department of Fashion Technology organised a workshop on ¨Woven and garment CAD¨ from 25-26 September 2014 at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, exclusively for the benefit of students from textile institutions, technicians working in weaving industry, designers working in apparel industries.
About 40 students participated in the workshop. The participants were taught on various fundamental aspects of ´Woven and garment CAD´, using wonder weaves software installed at KCT-TIFAC CORE advanced research center for Textile Technology and Machinery, a project under Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and LECTRA software for Garments. The participants were trained by B Geetha Manohari and T Rasiga, Assistant Professors from Department of Fashion Technology, KCT. The Chief Guest of the inaugural programme was SR Kalimuthu, Principal, Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Kannur.
