The Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester has evolved over several decades offering improved design and intuitive operating features for users. Every detail and every touch point has been created with the user in mind.

Available in three sizes to accommodate different levels of testing, the new 1300 Series includes the Mini-Martindale 1302 model, the Midi-Martindale 1305 model and the 9 station Maxi-Martindale 1309 model.

Commenting on the new collection, David Repper, Managing Director of James Heal explains "the 1300 Martindale Series is an absolute pleasure to use and the stylish design will enhance the appearance of any laboratory to help create confidence in the minds of customers."

New features include a hinged top plate on the Maxi-Martindale model, which allows access to all testing stations.

Simple to use, the Martindale 1300 Series features an intuitive user interface that enables quick and easy set up.

Historically developed for testing woven and knitted textiles, the Martindale tester is used for many different materials, including nonwovens, socks, gloves, cords and straps, carpets, leather wood high pressure laminates, painted surfaces and for many other applications (either dry or wet).

James Heal instruments are used around the world by many well-known retailers renowned for high quality standards including Next, BHS, Marks & Spencer, Victoria?s Secret, Louis Vuitton. The company supplies instruments to almost all of the world?s car manufacturers plus numerous textile and garment manufacturers around the world.

First unveiled at Techtextil North America in Atlanta, the Maxi Martindale will also be on show at ITMA Asia in June where visitors will be able to see James Heal personnel demonstrating the new model along with other testing instruments for physical and colour fastness testing.
