The BoDs of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association’s (BTMA) organised a meeting where 7-8 members from ITAMMA were present. About 4-5 BoDs of BTMA attended the meeting including their Vice President, Hossain Mehmood. The meeting was held on February 10, 2018 at Dhaka.

Good deliberations were had from both the sides where, ITAMMA’s proposal of having ITAMMA Pavilions at different halls of 16th Dhaka Int’l Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2019), categorised under spinning, weaving, wet processing and garment heads was accepted by BTMA. It was also agreed by both the associations to work together for promoting the forthcoming DTG 2019, through ITAMMA voice and roadshows in India. It was also discussed to work together on the development on aspects like training, industry audits and BTMA – ITAMMA Display & Service Centre. The meeting ended with the exchange of bouquets and mementos.

15th DTG was organised from February 8-11, 2018 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC). The event was jointly organised by BTMA and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co Ltd. It was also supported by both local and overseas associations – Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association, the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association, the Korea Textile Machinery Association, ITAMMA, Jiangsu Textile Machinery & Accessory Industry Association, Turkey Textile Machinery Manufacturers and Accessories Association, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, and Taiwan Textile Federation, adding great luster to the show.
