Invista and Burlington launch durable wool collection

INVISTA´S CORDURA-« brand adds CORDURA-« Combat Wool´ fabric to their expansive list of durable fabrics. CORDURA-« Combat Wood´ is available in multiple merino wool and nylon 6,6 constructions including knits, baselayers, laminates, and double weaves from Chia Her, a midlayer knit fabric from Chang-Ho Fibre Corporation, sock styles from Xialu, as well as twill, canvas, ripstop, dobby and stretch woven constructions from Burlington Industries. To celebrate the launch, the CORDURA-« brand is collaborating with notable lifestyle and urban designer Alex Valdman who has designed innovative apparel pieces featuring CORDURA-« Combat Wool´ in both a multi-purpose jacket and pant. A debut party for the CORDURA-« x Alex Valdman Collection will be held at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 7 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. at the CORDURA-« Brand Booth 39213.

Our new CORDURA-« Combat Wool´ fabric collection combines the warmth and comfort of wool and the durability of nylon 6,6,´ says Cindy McNaull, global CORDURA-« brand and marketing director.

Chia Her is a textile manufacturer that develops and supplies high value, innovative products to leading global brands in outdoor, sports, fashion, home and industrial materials. Their new collection will showcase both intimate blended knit and baselayer styles, as well as double weaves and laminate CORDURA-« Combat Wool´ fabrics that incorporate Merino wool next-of-skin and hard wearing yet stylishly durable CORDURA-« fabric on the outside.
