According to the Ministry of Textiles, exports recorded a year-on-year growth of 16.1 per cent compared with August 2025.

India’s textile exports rose to more than Rs 297 billion in August 2026, up from over Rs 256 billion in the same month last year. According to the Ministry of Textiles, exports recorded a year-on-year growth of 16.1 per cent compared with August 2025.

During April-August 2026, cumulative textile exports crossed Rs 1.4 trillion, marking a 10.3 per cent increase over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Ministry said the sustained growth across key segments reflects the improving competitiveness and diversification of India’s textile export portfolio. The increase has been supported by better market access, policy measures, greater value addition and continued efforts to expand into diverse export markets.
