INDA has announced the appointment of Jim Loftus as its new Director of Education and Technical Affairs. Loftus brings experience in R&D functions from previous positions with Owens Corning and Union Carbide. Most recently, Loftus was Research Associate on the Senior Technical Staff within the Building Materials Group of Owens Corning. Loftus has a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from Penn State University, where he received his bachelor´s and master´s also in Polymer Science. He was Chair of Penn State´s External Advisory Board for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering from 2012-2014 and remains an active member. He has authored or co-authored 16 patents.
