Heimtextil India 2015: Over 50% space booked

After the overwhelming success of Heimtextil India this summer, Messe Frankfurt has announced announce the next edition of inspiration – Heimtextil India 2015 that aims to bring with it enhanced opportunities to network during the Indian buying season, from 25 ´27 June 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The organisers, in a series of moves to scale up the exhibition level, have decided to focus on technical innovations, upcoming talents, knowledge sharing, as well as home furnishing and textile market developments through strategically planned fringe programmes.

Covering 4,000 sqm exhibiting space, the second edition of the fair will be 40% per cent bigger than the previous one. Along with the increase in floor space, bookings for the 2015 edition is also up with more than 50% of the space already locked by major Indian brands. Demand for space from international manufacturers of home furnishing and contract textiles remains strong with confirmations expected in the coming months.

Reaffirming trust in the Heimtextil brand, India´s premier manufacturer of home fabrics, D’Decor has signed on as the platinum partner for the second edition of the fair. Speaking about the sponsorship, Mr. Ajay Arora, Managing Director, D’Decor said ´We are happy to associate and support Heimtextil India in their second edition, because this fair acknowledges the fact that the Indian home textile is on a growth path. It is a great platform to aggregate the serious players in the organised home textile segment and helps to reinforce our opportunities for connecting with the Indian trade fraternity.´

The high buyer confidence and business potential demonstrated at the first edition of the fair has urged many of the last years´ exhibitors to return with ABN textiles, New Castle- Devaa Textiles, Premier Fine Linens Pvt Ltd, KC Fabrics, Victor Textiles Ltd, Roshan Creations and many others already signing up more than eight months before the fair. Manufacturers and exporters of interior textiles and furnishing solutions, Dicitex Furnishing has also come on board as the gold partner whereas Rumours – Ascent Decor Pvt Ltd., will partake as the silver partner for the second edition.

Mr Nimish Arora, Managing Director, Dicitex Furnishing said: ´We decided to participate in Heimtextil India again as we noticed the advantages the brand presents in reaching home planners, interior designers and buyers, especially bulk buyers and retailers, from various segments across the country. It is a great way to connect with so many new customers from across the country in just three days. Moreover, the platform creates healthy competition by bringing the best in the industry on one platform leading to healthy interactions and business. We look forward to the 2015 edition where we plan to introduce a vibrant line of plush velvets, digital prints and exquisite embroideries as well launch a new digitally printed bed sheet collection in exquisite design and colours.´

Growth of modern trade outlets, retail revolution and the move towards luxury and premium products are reflecting the vibrancy and upbeat mood of the Indian home textile industry. In line with the lifestyle changes and growth in dispensable incomes, the increasing consumer interest towards decor and lifestyle products will be the essential demand driver for home furnishings.

Expected to witness a compound annual growth rate of around 8% during 2013-2018, Indian home furnishing market is set to cross Rs. Rs. 30593 Cr (USD 5 billion) revenues by 2018. The boom in realty, retail and hospitality sectors will also spur demand for interior and decorative products, making the future of home furnishings more promising.
