HANOITEX 2017, the most important textile and garment industry event, is to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from November 1 to 3, 2017. The response for the Hanoitex 2017 has been good, and all the spaces in the main hall already sold or reserved. The organiser added a temporary hall to accommodate new exhibitors.
Vietnam’s government has signed and will sign many free trade agreements (FTAs) recently, attracted many foreign direct investment (FDI), investing more than $750 million in the first six months of 2017. It is expected that Vietnam’s garment and textile export will reach its target of $31 billion in 2017. The enterprises in Vietnam are investing in machines and technology to improve their productivity and reduce costs.
North Vietnam & Hanoi are the fastest growing production regions in Vietnam. Because of the government’s favourable policies, in addition to lower wages and production costs in the North when compared to Hochiminh City and surroundings, many local and international companies have recently moved their textile and garment production factories to the North and Hanoi.
