Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show (GTTES), the maiden show, which the organisers, India-ITME Society says is a business event with a difference, is slated to to be held from January 20-22, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Goregaon Mumbai. The event, promising to focus on the Asian market, will be a single window access to textile technology, new markets & customers, engineering solutions & International trade. GTTES-2015 brings focus to post spinning segments and provides once stop solution for every business in the textile segments. This event is supported by the Heavy Industry Ministry (Government of India) and the Textile Department (Government of Maharashtra).
Seema Srivastava, Executive Director of India-ITME Society, while talking to the Editor of Indian Textile Journal, said that so far they have a total exhibitors of 255 for an exhibition area of 11,500 sq m, contained in one big hall at the BEC. This event will be the largest textile technology event in India after India ITME series. ´About 11 countries have confirmed participation. A very strong participation from China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, USA, Germany, and the UK apart from India gives a mix display of modern technology, price competitiveness, customised services, expanded network and new market members for both exhibitors and visitors,´ she said. Even Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have agreed to send delegations, she added.
In July 2014 itself, the space has been fully booked. Apart from extensive roadshows and promotional campaigns in all the local, textile hubs, we have also promoted abroad, especially in the Asian countries. ´The event is well approved and supported by the NSIC, Maharashtra Government and other concerned authorities,´ Srivastava said. She added: ´The three-day event will be a purely business event. The cost for the show has been kept low so that those who could not afford for big events like India-ITME can also tap the Asian market. It is a totally focused event. There will be no side shows like seminars and workshops. We have provided facilities and conditions suitable for business negotiations between the exhibitors and visitors. Product launches will be there, and a few presentations by the Government on facilities being offered.´
The unique factor about the GTTES 2015 is that it is different from any ordinary exhibitions. ´This will have a specific purpose of bringing the business interests together. Secondly, India already has a strong spinning sector. We are focusing on the downstream industries in the value chain, which is often neglected. But this is where we have to become competitive in order to be in the race globally. Garmenting, knitting, embroidery, etc are the areas that need attention of the industry.´
GTTES-2015, organised by India ITME Society is set to be the trend setter and catalyst for the textile and textile engineering industry in India as well as globally. A very unique opportunity given to the exhibitors of GTTES-2015 is a facility to promote their company brand and product/services online worldwide for three months apart from three day live demo & one-to-one interaction with customers on 20-22 January 2015 at Mumbai.
