New launch in Ichalkaranji strengthens advanced weaving solutions.

Groz-Beckert, the world’s leading provider of industrial machine needles, precision parts, and systems for the textile industry, has launched its comprehensive Reed Portfolio in India at an exclusive customer event held in Ichalkaranji, one of the country’s most important weaving centres. Titled “Advancing Weaving Excellence – Reed Portfolio Launch”, the event brought together nearly 100 weaving mill owners and industry partners for an evening focused on innovation, global insights, and advanced weaving solutions.

The programme featured welcome remarks, an overview of global weaving market trends, a detailed presentation on reeds, portfolio highlights, interactive question-and-answer sessions, and networking over dinner. The launch marked a significant step in expanding Groz-Beckert’s weaving offering in India, moving beyond needles and components to a more integrated solution approach.

During the welcome address, Groz-Beckert underlined the strategic importance of Ichalkaranji in its India journey. The company recalled the inauguration of its weaving showroom in the city in 2022 and acknowledged the continued trust and support of the local weaving community. The event was positioned as part of Groz-Beckert’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and bring advanced technologies closer to Indian customers.

Senior experts from Groz-Beckert’s global weaving division shared international perspectives and technical expertise at the event. The delegation included Christof Naier, Vice President & Head of Weaving Division; Renato D’Agostino, Senior Sales Manager, Weaving Division; and Sina Uttenweiler, Product Manager, Reeds. Their participation highlighted the company’s focus on combining global know-how with local application support.

The introduction of the Reed Portfolio generated strong interest, with attendees engaging actively on topics such as performance, durability, and suitability for Indian weaving conditions. The positive response reflected the industry’s growing appetite for solutions that enhance precision, efficiency, and fabric quality, reinforcing Groz-Beckert’s long-term commitment to India’s weaving sector.
