In line with the GOTS´ policy to work for the benefit of the organic textile community worldwide and adopt latest changes and innovations, GOTS has released a 20 minutes short video outlining the new criteria and specifications or clarifications of differences between GOTS Version 3.0 and 4.0. The video is useful both for companies wishing to get a good overview of the standard and the changes at the same time, and to use it for internal training. The new video was made by NimkarTek Technical Services Pvt Ltd, Thane, India. It highlights changes in new version, including the ones about new 30% rule for recycled synthetic fibres and regenerated fibres from sustainable sources. The video is aimed at enhancing the skill level of both operators and certifiers.

GOTS version 4.0 was launched on March 1, 2014 and the one year implementation period is currently going on till March 1, 2015. Post this deadline, all products certified must meet detailed criteria given under GOTS Version 4.0. This video was shown in the 1st International GOTS Conference, held in Mumbai on May 22, 2015.

Short movie on changes in version 4.0 is available on http://www.global-standard.org/images/videos/GOTS4changes.mp4. Documents related to GOTS standard can be downloaded from http://www.global-standard.org/information-centre/downloads.html#gb
