‘Go Swadeshi’ opens today

With Ugadi festival just around the corner, kickstart your shopping spree at ‘Go Swadeshi’ exhibition. GoCoop, India’s first online marketplace for weavers and artisans will host ‘Go Swadeshi’ from today (March 15) till March 18 at Regional Institute of Co-operative Management in Banashankari in Bangalore. ‘Go-Swadeshi’ a one of a kind exhibition will showcase a wide range of exquisite Handloom sarees and products by weavers and artisans from across the country.  
With a perfect mix of the contemporary and the traditional, Go Swadeshi will showcase the best of collection by weavers from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, West Bengal & Madhya Pradesh.  Along with bright coloured weaves and  beautiful designs,one also can get to pick from a range of timeless classics like Uppada, Pochampally & Odisha Ikats, Tussar and Ilkal sarees.  The exhibition will also showcase  handwoven range of fabrics, home furnishings, menswear as well as womens apparels. Variety of handcrafted bags, stoles & dupattas will also be a part of the collection. 
GoCoop’s ‘Go Swadeshi’ is an attempt to reinstate the pride in hand-spun, hand-woven and handcrafted products and to encourage people to indulge in the rich handloom traditions of India. The exhibition also gives a unique opportunity for weavers and artisans to sell their produce directly to the consumers.
