GHCL Textiles is targeting an investment of Rs 535 crore in Tamil Nadu

The MoU includes provisions for both capacity expansion and investments in renewable energy in Tamil Nadu.

GHCL Textiles, a prominent manufacturer of diverse yarns, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu for a Rs 535 crore investment, during the Global Investors Meet 2024.

The signing of the MoU took place in the presence of M K Stalin, Minister senior ministers, and officials from the Government of Tamil Nadu. R Balakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer, and N Rajagopal, Senior General Manager (Technical), represented GHCL Textiles.

The MoU includes provisions for both capacity expansion and investments in renewable energy in Tamil Nadu. After implementation, GHCL Textile’s cumulative investment in the state will exceed Rs 1,035 crore, and its renewable energy portfolio will reach 75 megawatts.
