India is gearing up to host the world’s largest textile exposition, Bharat Tex 2024, as reported on the Bharat Tex website. The event is scheduled to take place from February 26 to February 29, 2024, in New Delhi, showcasing India’s textile prowess in a remarkable display. This grand occasion is anticipated to be a pivotal moment for the Indian textile industry, as it presents an opportunity to exhibit the country’s rich heritage, unmatched craftsmanship, and cutting-edge innovations to a global audience. The announcement of the event was made by Union Minister Piyush Goyal during a curtain raiser event, with the objective of highlighting India’s standing as a global textile hub and a dependable supplier of textile products across the value chain.

Bharat Tex 2024 represents an ambitious initiative by the Indian textile sector to organize the largest textile fair globally, measured in terms of exhibition area. The chosen venue for this significant event is the recently inaugurated Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes, integral parts of the International Exhibition cum Convention Centre (IECC) situated at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Encompassing the entire spectrum of the textile industry, from fibres and yarns to fabrics and accessories, and from apparel and fashion to home textiles and decor, the event will also feature handloom and handicrafts, as well as technical textiles and smart manufacturing.
