GACL commissions poly aluminium chloride plant in Vadodara

The Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) has commissioned its new poly aluminium chloride (PAC) plant here having a capacity of 32,000 tonne per annum (TPA). This is second such plant of the company. Its first plant was commissioned at its complex at Dahej located about 120 km from here in 2007, with a capacity of 40,000 TPA, GACL’s Managing Director Prem Kumar Gera said.

Gera said that there is heavy demand for PAC from the country, which is used for municipal and industrial water treatments, waste water treatments, separation of slurry in industrial processes, sizing in paper and pulp industry, decontamination of dyes in textile industry and sewage water treatments.
