DBL Group to invest $ 650 mn in Bangladesh

DBL Group has decided to invest an amount
of $650 million to set up 10 manufacturing units for ceramics, textiles, and
sanitary ware in the Sreehatta Economic Zone in Moulvibazar.

DBL Group is one of the leading exporters.
This announcement was made when the foundation stone laying ceremony of the DBL
Industrial Park was conducted at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.

According to MA Jabbar, Managing Director,
DBL Group, this is an important step for the group as it will help in achieving
the vision of pushing the next phase of Bangladesh’s growth further using the
best infrastructure. He also said that the Group is always focused on
challenging the conventional manufacturing methods and moving the industry
towards an efficient and automated platform.

He further said that this technologically
advanced and integrated industrial park is going to help the Group, upskill
workers so that it can create a sustainable co-dependency between man and
machine. This will further help the facilities to manufacture standard and luxurious
products for both industrial and consumer use.

According to Shaikh Yusuf Harun, Executive
Chairman, Beza, DBL Group
has decided to make this investment because it wants
to achieve its goals of creating world-class quality products and materials. He
also said that this investment will also give confidence to the foreign
investors to invest in the country and help in its development.
