Danfoss India observes World Environment Day

Danfoss India, an industry leader focused on climate and energy efficient solutions, celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2017 with a number of initiatives organised for and by its employees. In addition, the company has announced its partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry – Southern Region (CII-SR) for the “CII-SR Water Alliance” pilot project, to restore waterbodies in and around Chennai.
Commenting on the occasion, Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss Industries Pvt Ltd, said, “Food, air and water are vital resources to life in every possible form. It is therefore in our interest that we, as responsible citizens, realize the importance of sustainable usage of these resources. This year, we’re taking a step towards making an impact in all these three aspects within our Campus and outside.
With our vision of ‘Engineering Tomorrow’s India’, we are always working towards a greener & sustainable tomorrow, keeping in mind the needs of our future generations.”
As part of the project, Danfoss will be working towards the restoration of two waterbodies near its Oragadam Campus. This will include various phases like current state analysis, removal of physical debris, desilting, bund strengthening and proactive fencing and periodic review, in association with CII and related subject matter experts.
