Advanced AI tools enhance demand forecasting, assortment intelligence, and integrated analytics.

Centric Software unveiled significant innovations to Centric Planning, bringing AI-powered demand forecasting, smarter assortment intelligence, and deeper integration with Centric PLM and Centric Visual Boards. The company delivers enterprise solutions for fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, food & beverage, cosmetics, personal care, consumer electronics, and multi-category retail, supporting brands in achieving strategic and operational digital transformation goals.

Centric Planning leverages AI-driven forecasting with real-time connections across assortment and go-to-market workflows. Combined with intelligent inventory planning, it helps retailers and brands achieve up to 110 per cent improvement in margins. Proven outcomes include doubling operating margins, reducing planning cycles by 75 per cent, cutting inventory by 50 per cent, and halving budget preparation time—enabling faster decision-making, more efficient teams, and increased agility.

Key highlights of the new Centric Planning upgrades:

  • AI-powered competitive benchmarking
New benchmarking tools embedded in the planning stage help brands identify assortment gaps and pricing opportunities by analysing competitor products. Real-time market data from Centric Market Intelligence ensures retailers can respond rapidly to market shifts with relevant assortments.
  • Strategic replenishment for the Chinese market
Addressing China’s fast-paced production cycles and regional logistics, Centric Planning now offers a market-specific replenishment algorithm to improve store-level accuracy and supply chain responsiveness, providing global retailers with localized intelligence on a unified platform.
  • Enhanced AI-driven assortment planning
Pre-season forecasting is now supported by AI, delivering precise, data-backed quantity recommendations at the assortment stage. Powered by attribute enrichment trained on billions of products through Centric Market Intelligence, this innovation improves sell-through, reduces waste, and safeguards margins.

Chris Groves, CEO of Centric Software, said, “The latest AI and ML enhancements in Centric Planning allow brands and retailers to visualise analytics and demand forecasts more accurately across the product lifecycle. These innovations highlight Centric Software’s ability to deliver actionable intelligence within a connected ecosystem, enabling smarter, faster decisions that drive global revenue growth.”
