India ITME Society organised a networking dinner on November 16, 2015 at Milan to promote the opportunities in India for textile machinery manufactures. This programme was attended by industry members, associations and government officials from various countries.

ITMA 2015, held in Milan from November 12-19 at the Fiera Milano trade fair grounds, closed its doors with some significant statistics. For the eight days of the event, the halls which hosted the 1,700 exhibitors recorded almost 1,23,000 participants, hailing from 147 countries (22 per cent more than the previous edition in Barcelona).

The global textile and garment manufacturing industry converged at ITMA 2015 in Milan to source innovative solutions to enhance their business sustainability. Their commitment to sustainability is evident from the strong industry turnout. At the end of eight days, the 17th edition of the world’s most established textile and garment technology exhibition attracted visitorship of almost 1,23,000 from 147 economies.

The latest edition of the Italian Textile Technology Awards was held as part of the promotional activities linked to ITMA Milan 2015. With the aim of promoting knowledge and awareness relating to textile machinery technologies and manufacturing, as well nurturing links between training initiatives
