CAI Office-bearers

Nayan C Mirani of Khimji Visram & Sons, has been elected the President of Cotton Association of India (CAI) for the year 2016-17 at the meeting of the Board of Directors of CAI.

Udayan B Thakkar of U B Cotton Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, has been elected the Vice President of CAI.

The Annual General Meeting of the CAI was also held on December 30, 2016, in which Dhiren N Sheth, outgoing President of the CAI spoke at length on the cotton situation in India, with special reference to the declining trend in production and falling prices of cotton. He also disclosed some of the measures CAI has taken to promote the fortunes of cotton like Suvin Ratna in the coming years.
