To cater to the needs of the textile industry, Diagonal Consulting (India) is organising a two-day high-powered event in Ahmedabad, “intexcon,” October 22-23, 2024, informed Dr Seshadri Ramkumar.

Global textile industry is under stress with weak demand.

The textile sector needs a demand uptick and is looking towards product and market diversification. There is a timely need for a global platform to discuss the current market situation and help with the identification of products and markets.

To cater to the needs of the textile industry, Diagonal Consulting (India) is organising a two-day high-powered event in Ahmedabad, “intexcon,” October 22-23, 2024, which will have big players from India and other countries participating.

American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, INDA-Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, Indian Technical Textiles Association and ATIRA are supporting the event with the goal of taking the industry forward. To spearhead innovation in the industry that will be received by the consumers, awards have been instituted for industry that can highlight commercially viable products. Many innovative products have been received which are being judged by a distinguished jury panel.

Conference organisers have recently visited Giriraj Singh, Minister of Textiles, Government of India and extended an invitation to inaugurate the event.

Papers from industry on sustainability, high performance fibres, advanced and technical textiles will be presented. In addition to presenting results on advanced products, the conference is endeavouring to be a place for interaction by industry players to kick start investment opportunities, develop new markets and products.

Advanced textiles from cotton, medical textiles, international standardization, market statistics, tips for investments, high performance fibres and different fibre-based product information will be discussed.

Leading market and financial consultants, research leaders and industry stalwarts are participating in the event which will benefit the entire supply chain. With inflation coming down and the United States’ Federal Reserve is expected to cut the rate by 0.25 per cent to 0.50 per cent, a conference platform is ideal to strategize for the growth of the industry.

“We are excited to have an international platform for exchange of ideas to boost the global textile industry. This event aims to facilitate timely networking opportunities, showcasing technology and market advancements as well as enhancing collaborations among industry leaders, innovators, and investors,” stated Nirav Shah, Cofounder of Diagonal Consulting (India) and the organizer of intexcon.

Participants are expected to gain valuable information to grow their segments of the industry.
