BTTL reappoints Shekhar Agarwal as MD

Shekhar Agarwal, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bhilwara Technical Textiles Limited whose term is going to expire on March 31, 2018 has been re-appointed as Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a period of three years with effect from April 1, 2018 by the Board of Directors in the above meeting subject to approval of the Members at General Meeting.

Shekhar Agarwal aged 65 years is a BTech (Mech) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and has done his Masters in Science from University of Chicago. Shri Agarwal is the Group vice Chairman of LNJ Bhilwara Group. The Core business interest of the Group includes textiles, graphite electrodes, power generations and power engineering consultancy services.

He is an industrialist with diversified business experience spanning over three decades. Presently, he is on the Board of various Companies like RSWM Limited, HEG Limited, and Maral Overseas Limited.

Formerly, he was the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry and the President of the Northern Indian Textile Mills Association. He was also the President of National Committee on Textiles of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
