Ajay Ajmera conferred with Champions of Change Award

Surat, Gujarat

Surat-based textile entrepreneur Ajay Ajmera has
been conferred with the Champions of Change Award for his efforts towards women
empowerment in the textile sector. The CEO of Ajmera Fashion, Ajay Ajmera has
been the force behind making more than 3500 women self-reliant by giving them
self-employment opportunities in the past decade.

Hailing social media as an effective means to
bring change,

said that people trusted them and that helped them make more women self-reliant
in the textiles industry.

Other Champions of Change Award winners include
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and Shripad Nayak
from the Ministry of AYUSH.

The Champions of Change award is given for
promoting Gandhian values, community service and social development and is
usually presented by the President, the Vice-President, the Prime Minister of
India, or a prominent figure.
