Karl Mayer introduces HKS 3-M ON Plus which is designed for robust, durable textiles and delivers superior fabric quality.

Karl Mayer has expanded its successful HKS 3-M ON family with the introduction of the HKS 3-M ON Plus. This latest addition lives up to its name by offering enhanced flexibility, including the capability to produce various net-like fabrics in different densities and structures, such as square marquisettes and shoe fabrics. The machine’s extended fabric spectrum opens up new possibilities and applications.

The HKS 3-M ON Plus is designed for robust, durable textiles and delivers superior fabric quality and increased competitiveness through higher speeds. Utilising Karl Mayer’s ON pattern drive enables efficient pattern creation without limitations.

The performance boost is achieved through technical adaptations, including reinforced needles and knitting elements, a more robust knitting motion, and improved sinkers for enhanced patterning flexibility. Additionally, the HKS 3-M ON Plus incorporates features and technologies from the latest digital generation of three-bar HKS models, including a batching device, Multispeed optimisations, and energy-data monitoring, all showcased as prototypes at ITMA 2023. Further innovations simplify operations and improve product quality.

The HKS 3-M ON Plus is available in gauges E 14 to E 28, with working widths of 130″, 180″, and 210″.

For customers seeking to maximise patterning potential efficiently, the HKS 3-M ON Plus can be combined with digital options like k.innovation Core or k.innovation Core lite from KM.ON’s web-based software solutions. These options allow for pattern creation with unlimited repeat lengths without the need for mechanical data carriers.

K.innovation Core lite is a browser-based chain link editor that simplifies editing existing patterns or creating new ones. Patterns can be checked for plausibility before being loaded directly onto the machine. Additionally, k.innovation Core enables collaborative pattern creation, streamlining processes and promoting creative exchange among teams.

The development of the machine was influenced by practical requirements and customer collaboration, particularly with Heathcoat Fabrics, a long-standing partner of the Karl Mayer  GROUP. Heathcoat Fabrics, known for its technical textiles and complex challenges, actively participated in tests and provided invaluable expertise to create a machine that meets the highest industry standards.

The machine represents a significant advancement in textile machinery, offering versatility, efficiency, and performance, making it a valuable asset for textile manufacturers worldwide.
