MP targets textile-led growth push, CM Mohan Yadav courts investors

Chief Minister highlights MP’s textile potential in Bhilwara.

Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, positioned the state as a rapidly emerging investment destination, urging industrialists in Bhilwara to explore business opportunities and highlighting the textile sector as a key driver of future growth.

Addressing an interactive session on “Investment Opportunities in MP” in Rajasthan’s textile hub, Yadav described the state as an “unmatched hub of infinite possibilities”, emphasising its central location as a strategic advantage for trade, industry and exports. “Connect with the heart of India; connect with the centre of growth and opportunity,” he said while addressing investors, business leaders and industry representatives.

Highlighting the state’s natural resources, investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure and transparent governance, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers a favourable environment for investments across sectors. He noted that the government has introduced simplified industrial policies and launched 18 new initiatives aimed at accelerating industrial development. He also stated that he has assumed direct responsibility for the industries department to enable faster decisions and time-bound resolution of investors’ concerns.

The Chief Minister assured incentives for major investment proposals, including special concessions designed to benefit both large and small investors. Stressing the textile sector’s potential, he said the country’s first and largest PM MITRA Park is being developed in the state to strengthen manufacturing capabilities.

Referring to historical ties between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Yadav recalled that the late Ghanshyam Das Birla had established Grasim Industries in Nagda, fostering long-standing industrial collaboration. He also highlighted the recent agreement between the two states on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river project to enhance water availability.

Yadav further said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India is emerging as a reliable global development partner, with Madhya Pradesh playing a significant role, while also pointing to expanding textile trade prospects with Europe.

The session was attended by state and industry representatives, including Rajasthan minister Gautam Kumar Dak and RCM Group Chairman Trilok Chhabra.
