In a move towards modernisation, Vardhman has once again selected Rieter for a substantial investment and purchased 66 Rieter draw frames (R)SB-D 27/55 and 35 Rieter combers E 86. This choice was the result of a careful purchasing process, in which Vardhman’s technicians played a crucial role as decision-makers.

Rieter proved to be the ideal partner, offering advanced solutions that aligned perfectly with Vardhman’s requirements for automation, flexibility and quality. One key factor in this project was Rieter’s ROBOlap system, the world’s only automated lap change and batt piecing system. Additionally, Rieter’s broad recycling expertise, coupled with their superior support, set their position as the optimal choice for Vardhman’s modernisation efforts.

Rieter’s technology paves the way for modernisation and sustainability

With 66 Rieter draw frames (R)SB-D 27/55 and 35 Rieter combers E 86, Vardhman decided to invest in state-of-the-art technology to enhance efficiency, productivity and sustainability. Automation was therefore a key requirement for Vardhman to achieve these goals. Moreover, the importance of recycling is growing, not only for Vardhman but also for the entire industry. Recognising this, Vardhman is investing significantly in their recycling processes and is integrating seven Rieter draw frames out of this modernisation order into their recycling lines.

Vardhman has initiated a comprehensive purchasing process and integrated their technical team as key decision-makers. This process involved not only management perspectives but also the invaluable input of technicians who work with the solutions daily.

Highly automated combing system

The comber E 86 offers a comprehensive range of benefits tailored to meet the demands of modern textile manufacturing. With a capacity to produce more than

1.5 tonne of combed sliver per day, it ensures efficient and consistent production rates. The established, fully automated lap change and batt piecing system ROBOlap stands for modern combing operations. It ensures high sliver quality thanks to uniform piecing over all heads and reduces the need for manual intervention.

Highest quality and productivity

With delivery speeds of up to 1 200 m/min, Rieter’s draw frames achieve unparalleled performance without compromising on quality – also when processing recycled fibres. Rieter’s autoleveler draw frames, boast exceptional scanning precision and the highest leveling dynamics. A new, additional suction nozzle keeps the calendar roller area clean, even when processing recycled fibres, and the optimised web funnel gives the flexibility to easily adjust it to virgin or recycled fibres. Moreover, Rieter’s latest generation of draw frames ensures lower maintenance, thanks to enhanced robustness and intuitive handling.
