PM Mitra Textile Park Receives Enhanced Connectivity Support

To attract investors to acquire land within this mega textile and garments sector project, the Yogi government plans to build the spur route connecting the Lucknow, Sitapur, and Hardoi national highways.

The government has granted its final approval for the public works department’s proposal to enhance connectivity to the PM Mitra Textile Park by constructing a spur route connecting to the outer ring road. A budget of approximately Rs 1.40 billion has been allocated to initiate work at the site. This decision was made during a meeting held, where Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, reviewed the PWD’s working plan for improving accessibility to the textile park and provided his feedback.

To attract investors to acquire land within this mega textile and garments sector project, the Yogi government plans to build the spur route connecting the Lucknow, Sitapur, and Hardoi national highways. The widening of the Lucknow-Hardoi road to a four-lane carriageway is in its final stages. From the Raitha underpass in Chatha Meel, the extended route will guide motorists to Atari village in Malihabad, the location of the textile park.

A government spokesperson indicated that the park, being developed under a public-private partnership model, is expected to generate 100,000 jobs. Improved connectivity to the Sitapur road and other national highways around Lucknow via the outer ring road will facilitate the logistics and transportation of both raw materials needed for production and finished goods.

The Malihabad railway station is located 16 km from the upcoming textile park, while Charbagh is 40 km away. The Lucknow airport is situated 45 km from the park, and the Kanpur node of the dedicated freight corridor and the inland container depot in Kanpur are 95 km and 111 km away, respectively.
