Brand targets 50 exclusive brand outlets by year-end as the broader expansion plan in 2025.

TechnoSport, one of India’s fastest-growing activewear brands, has launched its first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in its South India retail expansion. Located in Vijayawada, the store marks the company’s 14th outlet nationwide and supports its goal of operating 50 EBOs by the end of 2025.

Spread over 1,800 sq. ft. in the heart of the city, the store caters to Vijayawada’s rising community of fitness and sports enthusiasts. The city’s reputation for producing national-level athletes in badminton, athletics, and rowing makes it a strategic location for the brand’s high-performance, tech-enabled apparel.

To mark the launch, TechnoSport organised ‘High 5 TechnoSport’, a community-focused fitness fest, in collaboration with the Vijayawada Runners Society, Amaravati Bicycle Club, and Capital Cycle Club. The 5K marathon and cyclothon saw participation from over 250 fitness enthusiasts and concluded with a Zumba session and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new store.

With a focus on innovation and in-house manufacturing, TechnoSport’s products reflect the brand’s ethos, represented by its iconic ‘Running Man’ logo — symbolising readiness and momentum. The Vijayawada outlet showcases a wide range of its made-in-India collection, including advanced performance tees, polos, joggers, shorts, and track pants.

The apparel is designed with proprietary technologies such as DURACOOL+ and TECHNO DRY, offering features like UPF 50+ sun protection, anti-microbial freshness, high moisture-wicking capabilities, and enhanced stretch recovery. These innovations ensure comfort, breathability, and durability suited for India’s climate and active lifestyle needs.

Following recent openings in Bengaluru and Pune, the Vijayawada store reinforces TechnoSport’s commitment to expanding in key Indian fitness hubs. Upcoming outlets are planned in cities including Chennai, Ooty, and Raipur.

Sunil Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director & Co-Founder of TechnoSport, said, “Vijayawada stands at the heart of Andhra Pradesh’s sporting spirit, making it the perfect home for our first store in the state. Performance and innovation, powered by state-of-the-art manufacturing and a commitment to sustainability, is what TechnoSport stands for. From advanced polos to high-tech tights, our expansive product lineup is crafted to meet every fitness and lifestyle need. We’re excited to empower Andhra Pradesh with apparel that’s as dynamic and diverse as its people.”

Puspen Maity, CEO of TechnoSport, added, “The launch of our first store in Vijayawada marks an exciting step forward in our South India growth strategy. As we expand our footprint across the country, with 14 stores now live and a target of 50 by the end of the year — each new outlet brings us closer to our customers. More than just retail spaces, our stores are designed to offer immersive brand experiences where people can explore our latest innovations, feel the quality, and find products that truly support their active lifestyles. We’re excited to bring the TechnoSport experience to Andhra Pradesh for the very first time.”
