The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) is organising training courses to impart sound understanding of colouration, colour management and colour fastness. The courses, providing in-depth knowledge and a firm grounding in fabric colouration, would be beneficial for designers, manufactures, retailers and brands.

Being organised in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the three-day training would help candidates get first-hand experience in assessing colours, become acquainted with techniques of application and machinery, get a fundamental understanding of the interaction between fabric and colours, and develop an in-depth knowledge of the colouration tests.

Thereby, those who have undergone training would be able to take well-informed decisions regarding colouration techniques, and thus gain the ability to become an authoritative figure in the colouration industry.

The three-day training on colour management is a new certificate aimed at anyone who works with colour and is involved, either directly or indirectly, with its efficient control and effective communication. Devoted to best practice, the three modules will lead students through the process of colour management in the supply chain to ensure customers achieve the right colour.

The modules are designed to provide knowledge and expertise in a number of key areas while focusing on topics of direct concern when working with colour. Developed by the world’s leading provider of colour qualifications, the diploma is intended to provide knowledge, enhance career prospects and provide a stepping stone to Chartered Colourist status – the ultimate accolade for colourists everywhere.
