France has always been an important trailblazer, especially regarding the material mix of fashion and function.
Sympatex is a French functional materials company, which works with apparel brands to make their merchandise more environment-friendly. Fashion customers are asking for functional and also ecologically fabricated products. With its special laminates, Sympatex creates functional, fashionable and sustainable clothing for France’s consumers. As the fashion industry works to reduce its carbon footprint, Sympatex provides solutions that protect nature and satisfy shoppers.
Sympatex features optimum breathability, among other things. Sympatex’s solutions are certified by many sustainable textile production systems. More than 75 per cent of Sympatex’s laminates used for clothing are Bluesign approved. Sympatex also provides a water-repellent, fluorocarbon-free bionic finish eco material and odor-repellent technology.
Motorcycle apparel brand Furygan and Sympatex have co-developed a new sustainable collection for the upcoming bike season. For the menswear labels Bleu de Paname and Bonne Gueule, Sympatex developed environmentally-friendly outerwear including alpine jackets, long coats and soft-shell parkas. Children’s retailer Jacadi collaborated with Sympatex on a warm down jacket for children that features Sympatex’s laminates.
