Samuel Joseph (SJ): How has Saurer Allma been faring in India since its entry. Please trace some of its developments?
Armin Geigle (AG): In the 1970s and 1980s, Saurer Allmas success in India was mainly based on AZB ring twisters that were supplied by Allma through Deeco to the tyre cord industry, particularly to companies like Nirlon, The National Rayon Corporation (BRC) and Shriram Rayon Fibers (SRF).
Then later on with the innovation and new technology in the twisting and cabling process and the launch of the Allma CableCorder series CC, CC2, CC3 and CC4, Saurer Allma has not only succeeded with its tyre cord cabling machines in India but also established itself as the respective market leader worldwide.
So far Saurer Allma and Deeco Mechatron Marketing have jointly supplied a substantial number of CableCorders to well known tyre cord manufacturers such as Century Enka with its respective plants Century Enka in Pune and Rajashree Polyfil near Bharuch, Gujarat, as well as Madura Industrial Textiles with its recently established state-of-the-art tyre cord facility at Sarigam.

AG: In order to meet the requirements, Allma develops market-oriented and custom-tailored solutions. Allma twisting and cabling systems are based on quality, flexibility and economic efficiency, providing our customers a competitive edge with innovative developments.
Our latest developments are the CableCorder CC4 and the TechnoCorder TC2.
The CableCorder CC4 is a direct cabling machine for the production of high-quality balanced 2-ply tyre cord with up to 50 per cent lower energy consumption, around 5 dBA lower noise levels and significantly reduced heat load on the air conditioning system. The energy saving miracle CableCorder CC4 revolutionises cabling technology and received the prestigious "Tire Technology Award for Innovation and Excellence 2011" in the "Tire Industry Supplier of the Year" category at the Tire Tech Expo in Cologne.
The TechnoCorder TC2 is a highly versatile and productive two-for-one twisting machine for industrial yarns with unmatched take-up speeds of up to 450 m/min. Thanks to its autarkic spindle drive concept each spindle can be programmed individually allowing production and sampling at adjacent spindles simultaneously.
The TechnoCorder TC2 is designed to economically process fine to coarse yarns in a very wide range of counts. PA, PES, AR, PEN, Dyneema, AR, PP and PE are but a few examples of the material variety of the TechnoCorder TC2. Single twisted as well as balanced and unbalanced multiply yarns can be twisted on the TechnoCorder TC2, thus complying with the demand of the innovative technical textile market for clever an
