In an interaction with The Indian Textile Journal, Umesh Kale, Technical Director, Greewave Global, speaks on their first-ever participation at ITMA Asia CITME 2014 event in Shanghai, China and what they expect through this event.
Editor: Is this the first time you are exhibiting at ITMA Asia? What are the products you intend to showcase there?
Umesh Kale (UK): Yes. We are exhibiting in ITMA Asia for the first time, earlier we participated in ITME India 2012. We aim to promote our product Progen Bleach – Bio scouring in continuous bleaching range and cold bio polishing. These are our latest innovations for textile processing industry.
Editor: How is your participation at ITMA Asia expected to help in finding new markets?
UK: We expect to gain prospects in China and Bangladesh with this participation.
Editor: What is the USP and benefits of the products you are making? What are their applications in textile industry?
UK: Our products are eco-friendly enzymes, not hazardous chemicals, which leads to following benefits, including significant reduction of pollution, achieve superior fabric quality, significant reduction in overhead costs and compliance with government rules. Our products make the pre-treatment and dyeing process efficient and fabric friendly.
Editor: Please tell us something about the founding of the company and its growth since inception. And also its foreign branches.
UK: Greenwave Global Ltd (G2) is an Indo-German company. G2 gets its technology edge from the leading experts in Germany and indigenous proficient manufacturing in India for its range of products in enzymes and specialty polymers for textile processing. We have branches in Germany, US and Singapore.
Editor: Will there be any expansion or diversification? UK: We wish to diversify into detergents, paper and poultry.
Editor: How is the domestic market for your products? What is the percentage of export in total production? UK: We are receiving appreciation for our products from many customers in India. We are happy to bring the eco-friendly change in textile processing industry. We are thankful to India for supporting and trusting our innovations for sustainability of this beautiful earth.
