After more than 4 years of intensive research and development, Rotorcraft finally had found a material which is fibre friendly, wear-resistant and virtually non-breakable. This High-Density-Compound (HDC) has opened a new chapter of Compact Spinning. It combines top-class compacting with the capacity to withstand even rough handling. Compactors for different applications have different colours, avoiding the danger of getting mixed up.

HDC compactors are available for spinning short staple fibres like cotton, synthetics and blends and long staple fibres like wool, synthetics and blends.

RoCoS 1.21 HDC: The RoCoS unit consists of the compactor, the delivery top roller, the holder for front- and delivery top rollers with loading spring and the deflector.

RoCoS 2.21 HDC: The RoCoS-unit consists of the compactor, the delivery top roller, the front top roller, the holder for front- and delivery top rollers with loading spring and the roving guides.

Rotorcraft was founded in Switzerland in 1973 by the current Chairman and President, Hans Stahlecker. It has since become a world leader in designing and marketing innovative spinning solutions. Being aware of the fact that compact yarns are more and more becoming standard, and that pneumatic compacting systems are expensive as far as investment and running cost are concerned, Hans Stahlecker and his team have been doing extensive research in developing a compacting system which does not require air-suction, elaborate maintenance, costly spare parts and ever increasing cost of power. The result of this research is the RoCoS compacting system – the only one on the market today which allows spinning perfect compact yarn at no extra running expense compared to the spinning of regular yarn.
