India to debut at Canada sourcing show

India, the world?s second largest textile producer, will make its debut at this year?s Apparel Textile Sourcing Show in Canada, which will be held from August 20-22. The new India pavilion will feature a large delegation comprising 40 established, new and emerging businesses showcasing trending Indian apparel, textiles and accessories.

Chandrika Behl, Director of Comnet Exhibition Pvt Ltd, said, ?With abundant availability of raw materials, such as cotton, wool, silk and jute, as well as skilled workforce, India offers a favourable market for global retail brands.?

India is one of the more than 20 countries participating in the event, including other South Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal. The show will also feature hundreds of exhibits from China as well as a display of offerings from China?s top 10 brands.
