Chennai,
Tamil Nadu

Hexcore Limited,
a subsidiary of Tirupur-based garment maker Q-Rich Creations, plans to set up a
production facility in the UK to manufacture packaging products made of 100%
recycled paper. The company is set to invest 12 million for the expansion plan
which has the possibility of generating 162 jobs.

Hexcore Limited
will produce paper-based pallets and other packaging products at the new plant
which will be located in Rochdale. The company aims to supply packaging
materials to the UK-based manufacturing businesses from June.

The paper-based
pallets will be made from 100%
recycled paper that is
50% cheaper in terms of production costs and generates 35% less carbon. These
pallets are an alternative to wooden pallets. They have multiple uses, are
strong and can hold up to 4.5 tonnes.

Hexcore Limited
further plans to start manufacturing plants for other technologies such as
antimicrobial lighting and aeroponic farming. These projects will take the
company’s overall investments to 54 million and create 667 jobs.
