Textile firm Welspun India reported a 21.38 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 121.69 crore for the September quarter. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.25 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago.

Textile and clothing production in Tajikistan for the eight months of this year increased by almost 30 per cent, Avesta reported.
The monthly Index of Industrial Production for textiles increased 7.8 per cent in August this year compared with the same month last year. The cumulative index for textiles from April to August this year has also gone up marginally  1.1 per cent  from a year earlier.
