The US-based Glenro Inc’s new high velocity hot air impingement dryer is used to dry a waterbased silicone finish on a spunbonded polyester nonwoven web that is 210 inches wide. The gas-fired dryer system uses high velocity hot air impingement nozzles mounted beneath the product to apply hot air to the web at a right angle. Hot air impingement breaks through the boundary layer of air that surrounds the moving web and transfers heat to the product to vaporise liquids in the coating or finish.

Compressed air dryers are a must for pneumatic controlled tools and systems. If the compressed air is not dry there will be corrosion in compressed air pipeline, pneumatic tools and systems which will lead to their malfunctioning. In most cases refrigeration dryer are suitable for 40°C – 45°C ambient temperature. A major problem in compressed air systems is the presence of water, dust particles, oil (oils particles are introduced by lubricated air compressors) and solid contaminants, which can adversely affect air quality.

KARL MAYER Technische Textilien GmbH is a globally successful textile machinery manufacturer, which was formed by merging KARL MAYER Malimo with KARL MAYER LIBA – combining many years of know-how between them. This innovative, pioneering company supplies highly efficient bi- and multiaxial warp knitting machines for producing dry, non-crimp fabrics (NCFs) for the composites sector, as well as fibre spreading machines for the production of unidirectional fibre tapes made from a wide range of technical filament yarns.

Freudenberg introduced a new adhesive technology, matching the requirements of post processed garments and different kinds of outer fabrics. E…E interlinings give the flexibility to change processing treatments without risking quality problems. Fused at 127º C fuseline, E…E interlinings deliver secure bond strength results after washing temperatures up to 95º C (e.g. garment dyeing).
