´We are basically a high research-based company. We have developed a compact system that can improve the productivity in spinning tremendously. The productivity can go up by up to 30 per cent. The payback for this system is only 13 months. We have already many installations in Pakistan and Turkey,´ said Jackson Xie, Market and Sales Manager of WUXI Universal First Precision Technology Co Ltd (UFP), China, which has a tie-up with Chiven Spinning, Coimbatore.

Wuxi has already tasted some success in the Indian market in the last two years. ´We have been in the Indian market since 2008. But we became very active by 2011, and our system has been accepted by many. This compact system can be fitted into any kind of spinning machinery, including Chinese makes and also some machines of LMW,´ Jackson.told the ITJ Editor during an informal chat during the TEXFAIR exhibition.

WUXI Universal´s Manager claims that after fitting his company´s system, there will be enormous advantages like power saving and vast improvement in the quality of the yarns. Said K N Venkatasubramanian, Director of Chiven Spinning: ´Our purpose of this tie-up with WUXI Universal is to bring into India latest spare parts and accessories like compact system, which are on par with European technologies but at the same time are affordable.´ Chiven Director does not rule out manufacturing the equipment of this Chinese company in India. ´Once the market improves and proves that it has huge requirements, we will be even thinking of setting up manufacturing base for these systems in India,´ he said.

UFP was founded in July 2008, and is located at the Wuxi new district. UFP cooperates closely with worldwide leading companies in technologies. Depending on its own innovation and existing technologies,UFP focuses on developing, manufacturing, and selling textile components.UFP has three business units: BU compact spinning parts, BU twisting parts and BU drafting parts.
