Ujjwal Uke: A visionary

Born on December 17, 1957, Ujjwal Narayan Uke is Principal Secretary (Textiles) Government of Maharashtra. He has completed his B.A. (Economics)/P.G. Diploma in Marketing Management, and MBA in marketing. Before becoming the Principal Secretary of Textiles division, he was the Commissioner, Integrated Child Development Scheme (SCDS). He was also Managing Director, Maharashtra State Co-operative Cotton Grover’s Marketing Federation Ltd, Mumbai. During 2015-16, Uke was Principal Secretary, Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Mumbai. During 2012-2014, he was Principal Secretary, Woman & Child Development Department, Mumbai, Government of Maharashtra.
