Frankfurt to host global textile leaders this April.

The upcoming Techtextil 2026 and Texprocess 2026 forums will bring together global industry leaders, researchers and businesses in Frankfurt from April 21 to 24, 2026, with a strong focus on innovation-led solutions for the textile sector.

Positioned as key knowledge hubs, the forums will address pressing industry challenges through a curated programme covering AI-driven manufacturing, circular technologies and bio-based high-performance materials. With global markets being reshaped by geopolitical shifts, rapid digitalisation and evolving regulations, the platforms aim to offer strategic direction and practical insights for stakeholders.

An international programme committee has curated sessions emphasising innovation, real-world applicability and long-term relevance. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between cutting-edge developments and industrial implementation while fostering dialogue among experts.

“Future viability does not emerge in isolation. It requires strong partnerships, global networks and open dialogue about new technologies, strategies and business models. The Techtextil and Texprocess forums bring together this expertise, provide orientation and connect relevant stakeholders across industries to actively shape the future of the textile industry,” said Sabine Scharrer, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles & Textile Processing.

The Techtextil Forum will spotlight advancements in smart textiles, high-performance materials and recycling solutions. Sessions will explore AI-based defect detection, textile sensor systems for structural monitoring, and sustainable alternatives to PFAS-based coatings, alongside innovations in regenerated fibres and closed-loop production.

Meanwhile, the Texprocess Forum will focus on improving efficiency, digital integration and sustainability in textile processing. Topics include AI-enabled product development, automation in sewing, robotics-driven manufacturing and integrated systems that streamline design-to-production workflows.

In addition, Econogy Talks and guided tours will highlight resource-efficient strategies, sustainable materials and next-generation production technologies, offering participants deeper insights into future-ready textile manufacturing.
