At Lenzing Instruments booth no. A04 in hall W5, producers and processors of staple fibre, filament, nonwovens, fabrics and plastic film will find a meeting point for discussions about optimised process- and quality control. The product offer of Lenzing Instruments includes real-time online technology as well as automated testing systems for applications directly in the production and in the laboratory. Lenzing Instruments understanding for the specific needs of the textile industry in the area of quality control is based on long time experience together with a profound information exchange with producers and research organisations.

Visitors will be presented with the following new developments:

Fray View offers detailed image analysis of broken filaments on the running yarn. The system combines the advantages of the PROMPT FFD sensor with a high-resolution area camera. Each time a broken filament is detected by the sensor, the camera is triggered to capture an image, which is displayed in real time by means of the especially developed software. Additionally, the software offers both numerical and graphical results evaluation for further analysis.

YIS 200 is a line scan camera based online monitoring system with versatile software. The system monitors yarn diameter and interlace and detects yarn defects such as broken filaments and thin/thick places in real time. An image is generated of each detected defect and YIS 200 offers vast possibilities for results analysis of stored real time data.

OPUMETER offers filament producers the possibility of receiving quick and accurate feedback about the spin finish content in OPU/FOY, directly on the thread-line. The light-weight and handheld device is easy to operate and reliable information about the spin finish content and uniformity is displayed graphically for immediate process analysis.

RAPID 600 replaces RAPID 500 for the control of number and quality of interlaces per meter filament yarn. Similar to the previous model, RAPID 600 is a table top instrument which features automatic string up and sample removal, a versatile Windows software and the possibility to be connected to a SESS automatic bobbin changer system. With RAPID 600, even interlace with up to 200 nodes per meter can be monitored.

Further exhibits at Lenzing Instruments booth are various sensors for online and real time detection of defects and yarn characteristics:

  • PROMPT FFD, detects broken filaments and fluff on the running yarn
  • PROMPT MFS, the Multi Function Sensor, monitors the yarn for simultaneous detection of broken filaments, yarn defects, yarn breaks, fluff, titer, evenness, interlace and spin finish.
  • PROMPT OLF is a sensor for separate online monitoring of the relative spin finish content. For all sensors of Lenzing Instruments, the powerful PROMPT Visualization software delivers graphical and numerical real time results together with quality grading reports and historical data displays.
